The IB Continuum Programmes

Each of the IB programmes focuses on learning different languages. At our International Baccalaureate School in Toledo, students receive a bilingual education in Spanish and English throughout the IB Continuum and can opt for an English stream from the MYP3 onwards, with all subjects taught in English - this is an ideal option for international students. Learners have separate English and Spanish language lessons, in addition to French and German, to which they are exposed from the age of 3.

Obtain a Dual Qualification

At our IB school, we ensure that our students receive the contents of the Spanish educational system in Nursery, Primary, and Secondary education, obtaining a dual qualification after completing the Spanish Secondary Education (ESO) and the IB MYP. At the DP stage, however, students follow an international programme only, which has benefits when compared to the Spanish Baccalaureate by teaching across a broader range of subjects and providing access to leading universities worldwide.

Our students' academic records and qualifications can be presented in two formats: one aligning with the educational standards of Spain, and the other following the global standards set by the International Baccalaureate (IB). This means that families can choose the format that best suits their needs when their child completes their studies. It also makes it easier for students who may need recognition of either the national or international format when relocating within Spain or to other countries.

Requirements to Study at Our IB School in Toledo

There are different requirements when applying to each programme within the IB Continuum at our school. All pupils applying for entry to the MYP should preferably have a good level of English and Spanish (around A2 for MYP 1&2 and B1 for MYP 3&4), and a B2 level of English when applying for the DP, although no official language qualifications are required.
