Activities Tailored for Success in Diverse Career Pathways

As students progress through the school years, the extracurricular activities provided become more specific and varied, enabling each child to find one (or more) that suits their interests. Activities include triathlon, martial arts, photography (with our own photography lab), playing musical instruments, dance, video game development, fashion design, and 3D character creation, among other options. Each activity equips students with hard and soft skills related to specific professional pathways, whether in sports, theatre, dance, or the creative industries, while also opening up a world of possibilities for success in other career fields by enhancing their general professional abilities and enriching their personal experience.

Students develop an entrepreneurial mindset, confidence, creativity, logical and critical thinking, public speaking, leadership, teamwork, and time management skills, all of which are useful for success in any career. Additionally, they acquire widely applicable hard skills such as programming and expertise with various technological tools and programmes, while also perfecting their fine motor skills through illustration, sculpture, or sewing.

Sports

San Patricio Toledo's specialised sports facilities open a wide range of possibilities to practise different sports in Physical Education lessons and Extracurricular activities. We teach students to understand the responsibility of belonging to a team, to view personal effort as a source of fulfilment, and competition as an opportunity to develop sportsmanship.

Students are encouraged to participate in various sports activities while working towards personal and team achievements. Sports develop pupils’ physical competence and confidence, promote healthy habits, and encourage them to challenge their limitations, fostering resilience and discipline.

Arts

Our school provides exceptional tuition, facilities and tools to practise artistic activities and develop unique talents and skills in each one. Facilities include our Music School with three separate rooms for individual or small group tuition, an auditorium with a capacity for 300 people for indoor performances, two terraces for outdoor performances, visual arts rooms, and technology rooms.

Performing Arts

Our school offers diverse performing arts programmes to all students, fostering creativity and imagination in a vibrant artistic setting to help each one achieve their artistic goals.

Children are introduced to Music from the early years, with our extracurricular provision spanning music and movement, and musical language. Our offer expands as students grow older to options like music production, singing, choir practice, band, and professional tuition in different musical instruments, including piano, guitar, violin, drums, and bass.

In addition, students can explore four different dancing styles (Classical, Spanish, Creative, and Contemporary dance), or take part in engaging Drama lessons which feature performances throughout the school year.

Visual Arts & Creative Industries

Taking part in San Patricio’s Extracurricular Visual Arts activities is an exceptional way to develop creativity, problem-solving, attention to detail, and fine motor skills. Students can explore a wide range of creative programmes to try different techniques: Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Engraving, Illustration, Printmaking, Design, Fashion Pattern Making and Tailoring, 3D Design, and Photography.

In addition, with a focus on creative industries and technology, students have a unique opportunity to develop 2D animation, creative videos, video game creation, 3D character and scenario design. They can also delve into creative streamers and social networks, providing useful 21st-century skills with innovative tools. After an introduction to the more traditional visual arts disciplines in the early years, students from Primary onwards can explore all of the above.
